Gugulethu Heritage Tourism is a community-driven initiative dedicated to positioning Gugulethu as a vibrant heritage and tourism destination.
We promote and preserve the township’s history, culture, heritage, people and stories, while creating opportunities for local economic development and community skilling.
The project grew from a deep love and pride for Gugulethu. Its recent journey includes the development of township emblems, including the official Gugulethu logo and anthem, and the Gugulethu Memorial Monument unveiled in September 2025.
Our work brings together residents, businesses, government, tourism stakeholders, cultural practitioners, young people and strategic partners to develop authentic tourism experiences that benefit the community.
